Cover for Airline Delays & Cancellation

There is provision for reasonable meals and accommodation costs if, for a reason outside your control, your scheduled transport from New Zealand or overseas is delayed for at least 6 hours. You must keep receipts and written confirmation of the delay from the carrier.

Some examples of cover for delays includes:

  • Severe weather, natural disaster, hijacking, riot, strike or civil commotion
  • Rescheduling
  • Maintenance/repairs/faults
  • Industrial action
