Cover for Emergency Medical Evacuation
There is provision within the policy for repatriation to your normal place of residence in New Zealand.
In the event of a medical emergency requiring repatriation you must contact the 24 hour emergency assistance line. Repatriation will be considered if your attending physician advises us in writing that as a result of sudden Illness or serious injury you are unfit to continue with your trip.
Please refer to Section 3: Additional Expenses/Medical evacuation outlined in the PDS to know what you will and will not be covered for.
Please be aware that if you do not have a return ticket at the time of the event that causes you to return to New Zealand, we will deduct the cost of an economy class airfare at the carrier’s regular published rates for the return journey.
